[Edelgard sighs heavily. In her attempt to change the point he just combined the two. Setting aside the book she stands.]

Honestly, others in Fodlan may have such ideals but I do not put great weight on them. I simply have not had the time for romance or intimacy. And with my enemies being capable of stealing faces I do not believe I could have ever made the time for it and still be comfortable.

[ Sherry isn't one to judge. He hasn't allowed himself so much as a kiss and he has no worries of having an enemy behind a lover's face. ]

[ He can't really offer much reassurance. He'd do the same in her situation. ]

[With a softened expression, Edelgard smiles. A gentle wave of relief washes over her now that he's changed the subject.]

[ Sherry leads her toward the kitchen. He can, at least, boil tea. He can even make soup and simple meals, if he's honest, but his own standards are too high for such simple things unless there's a pressing need. ]

I have your blood running against the database of species found here. [ In his world. ] I'll start with the closest match and see what I can make from there. If it's not close enough to anything, I'll have to develop more prototypes, but even the failures teach you something.

I understand. Would I be allowed to indulge in your notes as you progress? I'd even be interested in what doesn't work.

I can give you full access to anything that's about you, but I'll need to hide some of the comparisons and information that involves other things I've studied. Sometimes, they involve people who'd prefer to remain a secret.

Very well. You need not do the same for me if someone who is a victim has an inquiry. Though I'd be wary about anyone in positions of power questioning.

Dragons aren't the same as humans. They won't ask, and humans can't visit here. I don't know if I'll ever see anybody with your same condition again, but I'll remember it in case I do.

Not many species...or people, are very often mixed with dragons.

[ But they do exist, if in the form of a rare hafling. ]

[It's not as if the notes he'll be comparing her results to is in regard to someone as the same condition as her, but she won't argue. She feels as if the point is clear: if it could help someone in need then it is a yes, if it is to benefit someone who would seek to profit from it then no.

As Sherry prepares the tea for them she'll find a seat and smooth out the skirt of her dress.]
